This post is sponsored by long-time MHE friend ALDI. I am proud to share my opinion on their products in this post.
Seafood. The final (healthy meal) frontier.
(Please say that with your best, dramatic voice.)
Honestly, serving seafood at home feels like a dangerous frontier to me sometimes. It can be intimidating, confusing to source, and a bit hit or miss on flavor. In our home, I have a hard time finding seafood dishes that all of Team Braddock likes. The struggle is real. But I am not giving up and neither should you.
Eating seafood twice a week has been linked to a reduce risk of heart disease and many other wonderful health benefits, so it is worth getting it in your regular meals. Fortunately, ALDI has made it easy, and affordable, for me to try all kinds of high-quality seafood at home.
Wait, did you not know that ALDI has a great selection of seafood??? You guys know that I love ALDI and the seafood options are just another reason on the long list of why.
If you’ve never been to ALDI, or it’s been a long time, it’s time to shop ALDI again. I truly love ALDI as it has allowed us to eat the high-quality food while not breaking the bank. I am thankful I don’t have to say “no” to any of the foods I want to buy because of the amazing prices.
If you’re interested in more reasons why I love ALDI, I’ve written a lot about it in these posts:
I have personally tried many of the varieties of seafood at ALDI and have been very pleased. Their fresh fish is never frozen and includes Atlantic salmon and tilapia.
The frozen seafood options, like shrimp and cod, always taste so fresh too. In fact, I used ALDI frozen seafood in my Homemade Fish Finger recipe post. To make it even better, ALDI works with the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership and the Global Aquaculture Alliance to ensure sustainable sourcing wherever possible.
This week I had the privilege of representing ALDI on First Coast Living to share delicious seafood recipes, perfect for Lent or Easter. Check out the segment HERE.
Now that you are with me on seafood, I have to tell you about a few other ALDI products that just won “Product of the Year” in a consumer survey.
First are the Elevation by Millville High Protein Bars:
This was actually my first time trying these bars and I am so glad I did. I’m always on the hunt for good nutrition bars that don’t break the bank. These bars have 20 g of protein per bar, 2 g fiber and truly taste delicious. A box of 6 bars is about $5.99, making them about a $1/bar. Nice!
The next product of the year winner is the Little Salad Bar assorted Fresh Guacamole:
I honestly have a hard time finding a store bought guacamole that I really like. It had been a while since I had tried ALDI’s guac and I confess I was delightfully surprised. It really is good. I love the texture of the chunky (very important to me in my guac) and the flavor was spot on. I will definitely be buying this again.
ALDI continues to surprise and impress me with their low prices, quality products and unique finds. There’s no better place to support your healthy lifestyle then ALDI.
