{Single Serve} Salty Dark Chocolate Dipped Mandarins

Looking for a single serving, healthy dessert? Try these easy dark chocolate dipped mandarins, sprinkled with a pinch of course sea salt and walnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 Halo Mandarin orange peeled and separated
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips (I prefer Ghirardelli)
  • ½ teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Line a large plate with a piece of wax paper or parchment paper.
  • Pour chocolate chips in to a shallow, microwaveable bowl or mug.
  • Heat on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Microwave for additional 20 seconds and stir again. Repeat until chips are melted and smooth (a total of 3-4 cycles).
  • Dip each mandarin wedge in to the chocolate, shaking off excess. Lay on prepared plate.
  • Once all oranges are dipped. Sprinkle with several grains of salt or pieces of walnuts.
  • Allow oranges to harden, about 1.5 hours. Recommend eating on the same day you make them.

Notes

To make this recipe for 2 or more people, just double (or triple, etc) the ingredients.
